Last Day of Compound Lifts – SPD

My last day of compound lifts today and I hit it hard! The most exhausted I have ever been and felt like crashing. I pushed the boundaries to see how far I could go as it was my last day and was tired for the rest of the day but after having some thing to eat I felt a whole lot better.

I chatted to one of the instructors in the gym today and he mentioned I was about the size I was last September although I was not as cut up as back then. This is interesting to note as I have been training heavey on a 3 week split and a 3 week compound which totals just 6 weeks of hard work.

A photo of my progress is as attached and i mentioned to the instructor my disappointment in not taking a photo when I started 6 weeks ago and not having any photos of how I looked last September I have to rely on what others say. He mentioned that he could measure me so that I could monitor with the ‘Tale of the tape’ which, in hind sight, is a better option as photos can be deceivingDD climbing 2 (camera angles, lighting, lens, position in the mirror etc.). Have you ever noticed how good you look in one mirror and not the next…I must find my favorite mirror!

Regarding taking measurements of my progress, I was so tired after the workout I did not take him up on this offer and will be approaching him soon on that score. He also added that my one rep max would have gone up now…I will experiment with the one rep max shortly.
